EU police in Afghanistan would be 'welcome', leaders told

The prospect of EU policemen going to Afghanistan to train locals became a shade more realistic at the EU summit in Brussels on Thursday (14 December), with EU top diplomat Javier Solana telling European leaders that Kabul would welcome the mission.
