According to the German newspaper, Die Welt Germany is ready to give up their right to veto asylum policy decisions of the European Union, when the EU summit in Nice today start negotiations of changes in the EU treaties. The German move is seen as a contribution to a successful outcome of the summit and putting pressure on other countries reluctant to give up their right of veto.
