Scandinavian countries have the most equitable societies in Europe, according to research by the Bertelsmann Foundation, a German-based think tank.
They found the strongest social cohesion in Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. The research, published Tuesday (16 July), studied data collated over 25 years from all EU member states, except Croatia.
