Blair denies big three want to run Europe

UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has denied that the three biggest countries in the EU are trying to dominate the running of the Union.

Speaking yesterday (12 February) after a meeting with his German counterpart Gerhard Schröder, Mr Blair said "I think it is important to realise this is not about trying to create some directoire in Europe at all".

"I think it is important we try to work at these things together, and that is not in any sense at all to exclude other countries", he said...
