UK denies big three meeting plans

UK Premier Tony Blair is seeking to reassure Italy’s concerns about reported plans for another meeting of the EU big three – France, Germany and the UK – denying that such a meeting is being planned.

In what was described as a "long and cordial" phone conversation, Tony Blair told Silvio Berlusconi on Saturday that there are no plans for a reunion between the UK, France and Germany, Ansa reported.
