Transatlantic aviation row continues

The Transatlantic row over government support for Boeing and Airbus remains unsolved after a meeting in Paris on Monday (6 December).

Fresh from his recent appointment Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson met his US counterpart Robert Zoellick to try and reach a deal on the two companies, which receive massive state aid.

In October, the United States filed a complaint with the WTO challenging European loans of some 11 billion euro ($15 bn) since 1967 to help Airbus develop aircraft....
