Poland would veto EU law on shale gas fracking

Maciej Olex-Szczytowski, adviser to the Polish foreign minister, Wednesday said Poland would veto legislation that threatened its sovereignty in energy policy, reports Bloomberg. He made the comments after being asked about possible EU legislation on regulating shale-gas exploration. Poland sees Shale gas as a way to reduce Russian energy dependence.
