EU tells Lebanon to protect Syrian refugees

The EU has urged Lebanese authorities not to send Syrian refugees back over the border. "Lebanon has a clear legal obligation that no person is returned or extradited to a state where they could be subjected to torture," it said in a statement on Saturday.
