Austrian former MEP could face 10 years' jail

Austrian prosecutors have charged Ernst Strasser, a former center-right MEP and interior minister, with corruption after a 15-month-long probe triggered by a Sunday Times sting in Brussels. Police seized files and bank account data in an investigation covering five EU countries. He could face 10 years in prison.
