Dutch Socialist leader pledges referendum on EU fiscal treaty

Dutch Socialist Party leader, Emile Roemer in a newspaper interview has pledged a referendum before his country eventually joins the EU fiscal treaty, Reuters reports. In an interview with Het Financieele Dagblad, published Thursday, Roemer said it was "idiocy" to fixate budget deficits below 3 percent of GDP in 2013.
