EU countries enjoy the greatest effects of the worldwide-web, according to data released by the World Wide Web Foundation, launched by Internet-creator Tim Berners-Lee. Sweden, the UK and Finland all featured in the Web Index world's top five ranked countries measured according to socio-economic impact, web use and communication networks.
