Backing for French-German deal to freeze farm budget

Last week's French-German deal to keep EU farm funding unchanged in the 2014-2020 budget was Tuesday backed by Italy and Spain, with Italy saying however it would not mind changes to sugar quotas. Britain, the Netherlands and Sweden want to reduce the farm budget, accounting for 40% of EU expenditure.
