No law for guaranteeing EU growth, Merkel says

"We are discussing growth all the time at EU summits. But growth is not something you can issue a law about, we cannot just tell [EU commission president] Barroso to put out a proposal about this or that much growth," German chancellor Angela Merkel said during the EPP congress.
