Commissioner: banking supervision feasible within current EU treaty

EU internal market commissioner Michel Barnier said Thursday in Bucharest he is "aware" of the legal opinion of the EU council saying treaty change may be needed if non-eurozone countries are to be included in banking supervision. "Our legal opinion says it can be done within the treaty," he said.
