Commission split before vote on female board quota

Just eight of the 27 EU commissioners are set to back justice commissioner Viviane Reding's plan to impose a 40 percent women quota on company boards, reports the Financial Times. The vote, to be held Tuesday, will be the first since Jose Barroso became commission president in 2004.
