France and Germany are tabling female candidates for the top job of the upcoming banking supervisory body within the ECB, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reports. Their move comes after the European Parliament rebelled against the nomination of an all-male ECB board and Spain vetoed the appointment of Yves Mersch to the board.
