Alcohol responsible for quarter of EU road deaths

The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction says alcohol causes around a quarter of road deaths in Europe, reports the AFP. "Around 30,000 people die in traffic accidents in the EU every year, with alcohol still the number one substance endangering lives on Europe's roads," said the agency.
