Plagarism charge taints German education minister

Germany's minister of education Annette Schavan is facing allegations she plagarised her doctorate thesis, reports the Independent. Dusseldorf University awarded her the degree in 1980 but announced on Tuesday it would launch an investigation into the claims, made by a committee of academics. Schavan denies the allegations.
