Richer regions to get extra EU aid due to eurozone crisis

Regions in Greece, Portugal, Ireland and Spain considered too rich to receive EU cohesion funding are to get extra money as they have been "particularly affected" by the euro crisis. Greece's richer regions will get €1.3bn, Portugal €1bn, Ireland's Border, Midland and Western region €100 million and Spain's regions €1.8bn.
