German minister quits over plagarism row

German education minister Annette Schavan has resigned following allegations she plagarised her thesis, reports the BBC. Duesseldorf's Heinrich Heine University stripped Schavan of her doctorate. Schavan, who denies the charges, says she will take legal action against the university.
