EU to fund food fraud investigation

The EU plans to fund a programme that will investigate the fraudulent practices in the food industry, reports Bloomberg. The programme will run for one month but may be extended for another two, if necessary. The aim is to help restore consumer confidence amid the on-going horsemeat scandal.
