EU member states agree youth job scheme

EU states Thursday agreed to a scheme that under 25s receive a job offer, continued education, an apprenticeship or a traineeship within four months of leaving school or becoming unemployed. In the EU, an average of 23.4% of the workforce under 25 is unemployed. €6bn is to be made available.
