Dutch budget deficit to miss EU target in 2013

The Netherlands‘ budget deficit will miss the EU targets and be 3.3% of gross domestic product in 2013, a forecast from the CPB economic institute said Thursday. Labour leader Diederik Samsom ruled out further cuts in 2013, but said the government would need to take “further austerity measures” in 2014.
