Apple and Google avoid Irish data watchdog probe

Ireland's data protection authority will not launch an investigation into Apple and Google over allegations they transferred EU citizens' personal data to the US intelligence agency, reports Reuters. The watchdog says Facebook and Google apply EU data principles under the Safe Harbor agreement. Both companies are headquartered in Ireland.
