Germany's CDU wants fewer bosses in the EU commission

The next EU commission should have fewer vice-presidents with more powers presiding over the remaining commissioners, Germany's ruling Christian Democrats propose in a draft programme for the EU elections, seen by Handelsblatt. CDU's Bavarian sister party meanwhile is asking for the number of commissioners (currently 28) to be halved.
