EU's longest-serving PM resigns

The Prime Minister of Estonia, Andrus Ansip, on Tuesday announced his resignation to enable a successor to lead his party into the 2015 elections, BBC reports. Ansip was in office since 2005, seven months before Angela Merkel became German chancellor. Merkel is now the longest-serving EU leader.
