Serbia and Bosnia hit by deadly floods

At least 30 people were killed in Bosnia and Serbia by a flood caused by heavy rainfall over the weekend, with tens of thousands evacuated and Belgrade bracing itself as the Sava river continues to rise. The peak of the flood wave is expected to hit around midweek.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
