Baltics beef up defence spending

The Baltic states are increasing their defence spending after Russia boosted its military presence in the region, Spiegel Online writes. Estonia recently signed its largest-ever defence contract (€138m) for 50 Dutch tanks, while Latvia paid €48 million for 123 armoured vehicles and Lithuania €34m for a Polish anti-missile system.
