China unlikely to be the next Egypt, EU officials say

EU officials in Brussels say there is little chance of recent protests in northern Africa spreading to China, despite a range of common problems including unequal wealth distribution and grievances over working conditions.

Beijing has monitored the ousting of authoritarian leaders in Tunisia and Egypt closely over the past month, with media coverage of the events heavily restricted in the Chinese press.
