Juncker calls for key economic target to be revised

On the eve of an EU summit where leaders will gather to discuss the union’s economic goals, the Prime Minister of Luxembourg has called for the target date of 2010 to be extended in certain cases.

In an interview with the EUobserver, Jean-Claude Juncker said, "We need to subdivide into things that we are sure we can deliver by 2010 and things that cannot be achieved and should be left until 2012".
