UK to propose subsidiarity watchdog

The British government is set to call on Monday for a new body in Brussels to control that the EU institutions do not extend their powers at the detriment of national governments and parliaments. The watchdog, which will gather one representative of each national parliament, would police the EU institutions to reverse the “creeping federalism,” British minister for Europe Peter Hain told the Independent.
