Slovenia ratifies fiscal compact

Slovenia's parliament ratified the 'fiscal compact' on budget discipline on Thursday. Under the pact, the annual structural deficit must not exceed 0.5 percent of nominal GDP. Structural deficit is limited to 1 percent of GDP for countries with debt levels below 60 percent.
