Stronger regulation of credit ratings agencies agreed

EU institutions agreed Tuesday to impose additional rules on credit agencies, requiring them to be more transparent when rating sovereign states and making them more accountable for mistakes. All available ratings from rating agencies registered and authorised in the EU will be published on a European Rating Platform.
