Ashton speaks out on Tibet self-immolations

EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton has urged China to take action on the sensitive issue of Tibet after a large number of self-immolations in protest at its occupation. "The EU calls upon the Chinese authorities to address the deep-rooted causes of the frustration of the Tibetan people," she said.
