One in three EU children at risk of poverty

Twenty seven percent of under-18-year-olds in the EU are "at risk of poverty or social exclusion" new European Commission figures say. Rates are highest in Bulgaria (52%) and Romania (49%), but also Ireland (38%). Most at risk are households where parents have a low level of education or are migrants.
