EU to lift trade barriers with Colombia, Peru on 1 August

A free trade deal between the EU, Colombia and Peru will enter into force on 1 August and is expected to bring yearly savings of more than €500 million for companies. Customs duties on industrial and fisheries products will be scrapped and trade in agricultural products will become more open.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
