Croatia releases Germany-sought spy

Josip Perkovic, Croatia's top ex-spy sought by Germany for involvement in a murder, was released by a court order on Friday, pending a final verdict. The spy saga has already strained relations between Croatia and the EU because the new member state has refused to extradite him to Germany.
