German industry in favour of labour migration

Germany's influential commerce and industry chamber (DIHK) has criticised Angela Merkel's Bavarian sister party for stoking fears about labour migration from Romania and Bulgaria. Germany needs up to 1.5 million qualified workers from abroad over the next few years, DIHK said.

Among the largest sources of financing for energy transition of central and eastern European countries, the €60bn Modernisation Fund remains far from the public eye. And perhaps that's one reason it is often used for financing fossil gas projects.
