Straujuma nominated as Latvian PM

Laimdota Straujuma is set to become Latvia's next prime minister after being nominated by the governing Unity and Reform parties on Sunday. Straujuma, the current agriculture minister, will replace Valdis Dombrovskis, who resigned five weeks ago following the collapse of a supermarket in Riga which killed 54 people.

EU seeks to shut down sea route from Libya
