US repeats calls for Germany to spend more

Germany should continue to look for ways to spur domestic demand, US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said in Berlin on Wednesday. Following talks with German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, Lew said it was important for the eurozone that Germany narrow the gap between its exports and imports.
