50,000 pro-Western Ukrainians demonstrate

The police beating of an opposition leader Yuriy Lutsenko drew an estimated 50,000 pro-Western demonstrators in Kiev on Sunday, reports AFP. Lutsenko was admitted to intensive care and later released the next day after he was beaten by police on Friday. He reportedly received 10 blows to the head.
