Artur Mas: Spain cannot stop non-binding independence vote

Catalan leader Artur Mas told Catalonia's leading newspaper La Vanguardia on Sunday that Spain's government cannot block a non-binding referendum on independence. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has said he will block any referendum proposals. Around half of all Catalans are said to favour independence from Spain.
