MEPs drop asylum demand for Snowden

A non-binding text about the NSA scandal to be adopted by the European Parliament's home affairs committee on Wednesday will scrap the demands for asylum and security in Europe for US whistleblower Edward Snowden, Spiegel Online reports. Only a minority of Greens, Liberals and leftist MEPs are in favour.
