Latvia to repay €1bn to EU commission

Latvia will on Tuesday repay a €1 billion loan given by the European Commission as part of an international bailout in 2009, the Leta news agency says. It is due to repay another €1.2 billion next year, with creditors still sending monitors twice a year to keep tabs on reforms.
