ECB keeps key interest rate unchanged

The European Central Bank Thursday decided to keep the key interest rate unchanged at 0.25%. ECB chief Mario Draghi said low inflation will continue over the next months, meaning that the interest rate will remain at current or lower levels over the next months, as the eurozone economy remains weak.

EU Modernisation Fund: an open door for fossil gas in Romania

Italian central banker Piero Cipollone in his first monetary policy speech since joining the ECB's board in November, said that the bank should be ready to "swiftly dial back our restrictive monetary policy stance."
