Higher-than-expected turnout in Denmark

It seems that European parliamentary elections have captured Danish voters' interest, with turnout at noon showing the same high levels as five years ago, reports Ritzau. A referendum on the royal family succession boosted turnout to record 59.5% in 2009 – the highest ever for a European election in Denmark.
