Swedish left, Greens win the day: exit poll

In Sweden the left has won the day with 56% overall, exit polls suggest. The Greens have doubled their vote to 17%, for four MEPs, more than the governing conservatives (13%). Left Party has two seats, Social Democrats (23.7%) and one seat each for the Feminists and right-wing Sweden Democrats.

Nordic countries Norway, Sweden and Finland still have the world's most free media, according to Reporters Without Borders, but the overall situation is declining.
