Official admits irregularities in Sarkozy 2012 campaign

A senior French official in France's conservative UMP party on Monday admitted to financial irregularities in Nicolas Sarkozy's 2012 presidential campaign, reports the BBC. Jerome Lavrilleux, who was deputy director of Sarkozy's campaign, said "there have been anomalies". He said Sarkozy himself was not aware of any "slips".
