Russia to revoke military mandate on Ukraine

Russian leader Putin has asked his Senate to revoke a mandate for Russian troops to enter Ukraine to protect Russian-speakers if need be. The mandate, issued in March, was seen by EU states as a blueprint for a potential invasion. The move comes before an EU-Ukraine summit on Friday.
