Poland names stop-gap EU commissioner

Poland has put forward its deputy finance minister Jacek Dominik to be its stop-gap commissioner when the current one, Janusz Lewandowski, takes up his MEP seat, Gazeta Wyborcza reports. Dominik must first win approval from the EU Council and EU parliament in July and will serve until end-October.
